What is a CEO?

A CEO is a Chief Executive Officer who executes orders for the company. At Stellar Enterprise we believe that a CEO must also be a Chief Excellence Officer who sets a standard for his or her employees by practicing excellence in their life habits.

What are some of the areas of focus for a CEO that can ensure success?

Here are some tips:

1. Have the Pulse of Your Organization.

As a CEO are you aware of what is going on at your company in every department?
Go look, go see, go do... This means do site inspections. View the work place and observe what is going on in the workplace. You want to observe the workers, the flow of products and or services and to state of the customer. Stay in contact with your team members, vendors and customers so you can have the pulse of your organization at all times.

2. Knowing the State of Your Cash.

A CEO must know the state of the company's bank account. This means how much cash is in the bank account(s). Budgeting and managing the company financial affairs is very critical. There will be times when the income slows down or even halts due to some crisis and the company must have cash reserves and credit to cover the operating budget for several months.

3. Be Willing to Change.

A CEO must be willing to change what is not working and implement ideas that will. Continual change for the better is an absolute must for a CEO. Staff may change, positions may change, duties, products and services must all be flexible. The one constant is a commitment to the customer and *Value Centered Management.

What else do you think will help a CEO ensure success?

We want to hear from you.
