Avoid Scams and Fraud

As the CEO's of our lives and also as business owners we must watch for fraud and scams that are on the rise.

Here are some tips from Craigs List

Avoiding scams and fraud craigslist help forum

You can sidestep would-be scammers by following these common-sense rules:
DEAL LOCALLY WITH FOLKS YOU CAN MEET IN PERSON - follow this one simple rule and you will avoid 99% of the scam attempts...

NEVER WIRE FUNDS VIA WESTERN UNION, MONEYGRAM or any other wire service - anyone who asks you to do so is a scammer.

FAKE CASHIER CHECKS & MONEY ORDERS ARE COMMON, and BANKS WILL CASH THEM AND THEN HOLD YOU RESPONSIBLE when the fake is discovered weeks later.

NEVER GIVE OUT FINANCIAL INFORMATION (bank account number, social security number, eBay/PayPal info, etc.)

AVOID DEALS INVOLVING SHIPPING OR ESCROW SERVICES and know that ONLY A SCAMMER WILL "GUARANTEE" YOUR TRANSACTION.

Friday's Huge Success

The founder of the You Are a CEO program, Michael E. Parker was a huge success at the Northern California Chambers of Commerce Annual Ambassador Rally this Friday. Despite the noise of neighboring construction and cold there were over 140 people from all over Northern California who persevered to hear Mr. Parker's enthusiastic keynote address and learn his amazing techniques and business principles.

Mr. Parker encouraged, educated and inspired the Ambassadors in the spirit of Rosie the Riveter to keep up their hard work with the Chambers of Commerce in Northern and always strive to move forward with technology and specifically online television and Internet marketing.

Parker's "You Are a CEO" program is accepting students at www.youareaceo.com and his acclaimed forthcoming book "Who Said So" can be pre ordered at www.amazaon.com for the March '08 release by Wiley Publishing.

The event is the very first ever held at the National Home Front WWII Park inside the historic Ford Building which is still not 100% finished. There will be weekend celebrations for the dedication of the WWII Memorial at the Home Front Festival.

We encourage you to check out the Home Front Festival in Richmond this weekend and become an Ambassador with the Chamber of Commerce so you can attend the March '08 Rally in Clovis Ca.

The New CEO Program

Did you know that the New You Are a CEO program is a 13 week online course?

I love that! It is now so easy for all my friends to register online and attend the same classes I took that changed my life. I am so thrilled.

This program really changed my life and it really works.

For me first learning the lifeskills section saved my life. I did not realize who I was or was not.

I had been a mortgage broker for 25+ years and was pretty set in my ways. I got people big money and I thought that was all that mattered.

But what I was missing is my customers demands were often driving my life and I had no life once business slowed down.

Now I am in a new career I love and have become the CEO of my life. I feel empowered and I know that I can do anything I set my mind to do.

Will I do anything... not likely.

As a CEO I have learned how to evaluate what makes sense for me and what does not. There are key characteristics I learned such as how easy is it to implement.

But you have to take the course to learn the rest.

You Are a CEO is a program founded by Michael E. Parker Author, CEO and founder of Stellar Enterprise who took what he learned over his career as a trainer for Toyota and as a Professor at a Major University and developed a program to develop business professionals, entrepreneurs and those who want to think like a CEO.

There is no other program like this one.

It will be launched in the South at the Biz Tech Expo this October.

For more information about You Are a CEO log on to www.youareaceo.com or call 510 741 2045. To attend the Biz Tech Expo for FREE in Baton Rouge, La call Alisa Brown at 225 292-1350.

It's really good stuff.

CEO Steve Jobs Learns a Lesson in Value-Centered Management

CEO and founder of Stellar Enterprise Michael E. Parker teaches that CEO's must understand the fundamentals of business and especially his teaching on Value-Centered Management. His theory is that if companies would focus on what a customer values and what the customer wants, when they want it and at a price they are willing to pay for it businesses would be more profitable.

Here recently Apple's CEO Steve Jobs reduced the prices of his iPhone from $599 to $399 to boost sluggish sales which have now caused a backlash from customers who have paid the higher prices. Jobs is offering a $100 rebate to those customers but the public is still steaming over the change.

Understand what a customer values comes from knowing your customer and key client focus groups where information is gathered on price tolerance's and demands. Parker's new book "Who Said So" which will be released by Wiley Publishing January of 08 claims to teach corporate America what he learned at Toyota and in opening 7 diverse companies over his impressive career.

Pre orders for Who Said So can be placed on Amazon.com
